Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. -Rabindranath Tagore

Though this picture doesn’t have a lot of vibrant warm colors (oranges and yellows) they are not hard to miss especially with the help of the crimped gray clouds. The clouds being a more neutral color brings attention to the energetic colors of the sky. This photograph almost brings a sense of confusion. The beauty of this picture is clear, but the focus isn’t. The orange color makes a viewer never want to look away, but the clouds being so uniformed and detailed has the same affect.

Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate. -Albert Schweitzer

Many people will think of this picture as just plain beautiful, while other may just see the sun, ice, and trees. What most people don’t do is actually take the time to analyze the picture. Aside from the trees every aspect of the picture is light and soft. This brings a feeling of hope and cleanliness.

Just by seeing the sun someone should know that the ice is melting. The sun helps melt the ice, a cold shield, covering the trees while giving the trees some warmth. When kindness is shown a person’s feeling of misunderstanding slowly melts and a feeling of happiness will gently arise.

Cristina Mittermeier

Paying attention to pictures of nature and physically seeing the world doesn't just give someone a sense of peace and calmness. It helps influence people. Cristina Mittermeier, the lady who founded the International League of Conservation Photographers, uses photography to help encourage other people to help the environment.
Meet the woman who elevated conservation photography to a whole new level is an article/interview by Jaymi Heimbuch about Cristina Mittermeier. This article helps people understand Mittermeier more.

In this video Mittermeier describes the pictures she took.

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. -Buddha

This photograph has a monochromatic color scheme (a color scheme in which something uses a variety of a single color). This color scheme gives most people a soothing feeling, but it lacks vibrancy. Nothing seems to truly stand out. This picture is an exception. The moon's brightness keeps it from being hidden, though it is trying to "hide" behind the tree. Since the tree is the biggest object in the photograph someone may think that it is the focal point of the picture, but the moon being bright makes it (the moon) the main focus of the picture.

"The first stab of love is like a sunset, a blaze of color -- oranges, pearly pinks, vibrant purples..." - Anna Godbersen

Pink and purple sunsets bring a sense of peace and calmness. This makes sense because cool colors (pink, purple, blue, etc.) usually give a soothing impression. Artist and photographers take or draw pictures with these colors to hopefully give other people the same sense of calmness they felt when they took or drew the picture.
Not very many people take the time to see and enjoy the feeling a sunset gives. The beauty isn’t just in pictures. It can be found everywhere if someone just takes the time and look.

“Stop and Smell the Roses”

This saying has been around for ages to encourage people to take the time and enjoy the little things in life. This saying would apply to today because everyone seems to be “too busy” to stop and acknowledge the beauty of nature. Nature cannot be avoided, but people somehow manage to avoid it.
